The Altamont  is a historic and soon-to-be LEED certified multi-use building located in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. From local and national performances to special events and ceremonies, we offer event possibilities limited only by your imagination.

The main floor houses a state-of-the-art black-box theatre seating approximately 120 people that can be used for a variety of performances and special events. The lower level features a lobby with gallery space for artwork, bar, restrooms, and event support spaces including dressing rooms and a green room. Our six fully furnished short-term condo suites that occupy the top two floors blend history, the arts, and eco-friendliness into an experience unparalleled by other local rental offerings.

We are also home to Altamont Theatre Company, Asheville’s professional black-box musical theatre and conservatory. A 501c3 non-profit entity, Altamont Theatre Company relies on the community’s generous support for their continued growth.
