Built in 1895, The Altamont building is undergoing a complete historic renovation and will be the first fully LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified renovation in downtown Asheville. • All hot water is solar.
• Steel framing, sheet rock, and other materials are recycled.
• Materials from the building that were removed were recycled and diverted from landfills.
• Many new materials are non-emitting.
